The Nassau County Police Department has issued an alert for a suspect who allegedly disobeyed a court order and is wanted for a criminal contempt charge.
Elmer Zavala, is wanted by police in Nassau County after being arrested for second-degree criminal contempt for disobeying the court. Zavala was released following his arrest and a warrant was later issued for his arrest by the Nassau County Court.
Police describe Zavala, 35, as a 5-foot-5 Hispanic man weighing approximately 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Investigators noted that anyone who recognizes Zavala or who spots him should not attempt to apprehend or detain him.
